Aberdeen loanee James Wilson has revealed that he is considering leaving Manchester United when his contract expires in the summer.
“There’s still a slight chance I might get a contract but I think I’m edging towards leaving in the summer” he said.
Aberdeen fans will be pleased to hear that Wilson has enjoyed his spell in Scotland so far.
“Scottish football has been getting a lot more coverage over the last few seasons as the quality has improved. All things considered, I think it’s been a good move.”
Wilson has been a first-team regular for the Dons this season, making 21 appearances and scoring three goals.
The big question for Dons fans will be: would the player consider making a permanent move to Scotland?
At this time, it is hard to say. There will be teams in the Championship in England that will be able to offer the player far more money.
There could also be teams at the lower end of the Premier League interested in the player. That is for the summer though.
For now though, Dons fans won’t even be thinking about Wilson’s future. They’ll be hoping the player can help Aberdeen knock Rangers out of the Scottish Cup on Sunday.
