Just when Hibernian boss Paul Heckingbottom thought he had passed every test he has faced as manager so far, another one comes along.
After the 2-1 win at the home of bitter rivals Hearts, comes perhaps his biggest test yet – a match against the only team he has lost against so far, Celtic.
To add even more intrigue to the game, Celtic could be crowned champions if results go their way this weekend.
Heckingbottom will have faith in his team though. They haven’t let him down yet, not even in the 2-0 Scottish Cup loss to Celtic.
That was more about what Celtic did on the day, they just caught fire and Hibs couldn’t cope.
Since then however, the Easter Road side have gone from strength to strength.
The win at Tynecastle was just the latest example of that. Coming from a goal down at the home of your biggest rivals doesn’t happen a lot, but it showed the character Heckingbottom has installed in the Hibs team.
He and the Hibs players won’t fear playing anyone. In fact, they will probably relish the chance to potentially stop Celtic winning the title at Easter Road.
In his brief time at the club, Heckingbottom has already shown that he is the man for the big occasions. He has another one this weekend, and he will be confident of another triumph.
