He hasn’t been talked about much, but Hamilton head coach Brian Rice is doing a great job. The latest result masterminded by Rice was a 1-0 win over Hearts.
The win moved Hamilton seven points clear of bottom of the table St Mirren. Should Hamilton stay up, then Rice has to be amongst the manager of the year contenders.

Every year Hamilton are tipped for relegation, but somehow they manage to stay up. This pattern looks set to continue under Rice.

Hamilton have won only seven games this season, but three of them have been under Rice’s management. He has only been in charge of Accies since the end of January. But his record of three wins in seven games is more than respectable.

A pivotal game at the bottom of the table looks set to take place on the 6th of April. The last game before the split sees Hamilton take on St Mirren.
You would have to imagine that a win against St Mirren would be more than enough to keep Hamilton in the Premiership for another season.
Should that be the case, Rice deservers all the praise in the world. He will have masterminded an escape few would have thought possible when he was first appointed to the job.
