Hibernian head coach Paul Heckingbottom has disclosed that the Easter Road club have begun talks with Marc McNulty and Stephane Omeonga to bring the loan duo back to Edinburgh next season.
Both players have been key parts of the recent Hibs revival. Heckingbottom is hopeful that the duo will return to the club.
“Committed to trying to get it done”
“On the continent there are different structures but everyone on both sides is committed to trying to get it done” he told the Evening News, regarding Omeonga.
“I’ve just had a chat with him to put his mind at rest that we are doing all we can. We’re also having an honest chat with him and saying, if it becomes too big for us, I will let him know” he disclosed, referring to McNulty.
Both players have impressed
Both players have been major successes for the Easter Road club since joining up with Hibs in Edinburgh. Omeonga has impressed in the middle of the park since joining from Genoa.
It will be a blow for Hibs if they cannot tempt both players back to Easter Road next season. Even if only one player comes back it will be a bonus for Heckingbottom. He will be hoping that the talks with both players turn out positive.
