“On the continent there are different structures but everyone on both sides is committed to trying to get it done” he told the Evening News, regarding Omeonga.

“I’ve just had a chat with him to put his mind at rest that we are doing all we can. We’re also having an honest chat with him and saying, if it becomes too big for us, I will let him know” he disclosed, referring to McNulty.

Both players have impressed

Both players have been major successes for the Easter Road club since joining up with Hibs in Edinburgh. Omeonga has impressed in the middle of the park since joining from Genoa.

Whilst McNulty has scored plenty of goals since joining from Reading, scoring seven since moving to Scotland.

It will be a blow for Hibs if they cannot tempt both players back to Easter Road next season. Even if only one player comes back it will be a bonus for Heckingbottom. He will be hoping that the talks with both players turn out positive.
