He handed him his Leeds debut at 16, now Paul Heckingbottom should try and bring Ryan Edmondson to Hibs on loan.
Just weeks before his 17th birthday, the young striker was handed his Leeds debut by the current Hibees manager (Transfermarkt). Since then he hasn’t really got a run in the team, adding just one appearance to his name since his debut.

There’s no denying the talent he possesses though. Edmondson netted a hat-trick in pre-season for Marcelo Bielsa’s side, but hasn’t featured in one matchday squad this term.
Hibs could be doing with another forward option and Edmondson could do the trick.
Leeds starlet Edmondson would be a good option for Hibs as an impact player
Florian Kamberi is Hibs’ main man in attack right now, netting five goals in seven games. He needs support though, as so far, Hibs’ other attacking threats haven’t been that great.

Christian Doidge has chipped in with a few goals here and there, but is still getting to grips with the Scottish game. Oli Shaw hasn’t netted since Heckingbottom became Hibs manager.
Edmondson could provide some more competition. His arrival could allow Shaw to get out on loan, with Heckingbottom recently confirming that the Hibs academy product wants a temporary switch (BBC).
The only way that can happen though is if they find a suitable replacement. Heckingbottom knows Edmondson very well and will be aware of his potential, plus the 18-year-old arriving in Leith could have a benefit for Hibs’ own young prodigy.

Edmondson has the physicality of someone much older than the age of 18. He is pretty strong and good in the air, possessing a poacher-like quality that will stand in him in good stead throughout his career.
He needs first-team minutes and they aren’t forthcoming at Elland Road it seems. If a move to Hibs meant he managed to play some senior football, this move would be a win for everyone.
The ex-Leeds boss hasn’t shut the door on any transfer moves either (Edinburgh Live). Perhaps Edmondson is one man he should look to sign before the transfer window slams shut.
