According to the Scottish Sun, Hibs could be about to receive a massive seven figure cash injection from an Edinburgh-born businessman. It would be a big transfer boost for Hibs.
The report claims that negotiations have been ongoing for months. They are reportedly close to finalising the deal that would see Hibs net £6 million. It could be announced within the next week.

The Scottish Sun also claim he was given ‘VIP’ treatment at Easter Road for the match against Rangers last term.
It really would be a transfer boost for Hibs.
Hibs transfer boost could see them bankroll their way to third
They’ll still not be able to compete with Celtic and Rangers finance wise, but this would put Hibs ahead of everyone else in the league financially.

It would enhance their transfer budget no doubt. It’d maybe mean they can afford to move for their targets like Marc McNulty and Stephane Omeonga.
Not only that, but they can compete with teams down south for players. They’d have more room in the wage bill most likely, meaning players like reported Sunderland target Lawrence Shankland could become viable options.
Money can’t buy you happiness, but if Hibs play their cards right, it could get them a third place finish. Using this money effectively will see them gain massive advantages over the likes of city rivals Hearts, Aberdeen and Kilmarnock.

If this comes off for Hibs, expect them to push towards being the best side outwith Celtic and Rangers this season.
