If Dundee are to get a shock result against Celtic on Sunday, one player they will rely on is a player who has haunted Celtic numerous times in the past – Kenny Miller.
Miller, who played for Celtic, scored many times against his old team whilst at Rangers. Miller might be getting older, but he still knows the way to goal. He has scored eight goals for the Dens Park side this season, although he hasn’t scored a goal since December.
Despite the recent goal drought, if Miller is on his game he can cause the Celtic defence all kinds of problems. Dundee face the toughest game of the three relegation candidates this weekend. Hamilton takes on Hearts at home, whilst St Mirren face a trip to St Johnstone.
At least Dundee will know what is required against Celtic when they play on Sunday, a day after their fellow relegation candidates are in action.
Jim McIntyre would take a point against Celtic. The Dens Park team have struggled against the Premiership champions this season, losing 5-0 when the teams met in October.
Getting a point would give the Dark Blues a boost heading into the last eight games of the Premiership season. In all honesty, that looks unlikely at the moment. But if Dundee can pull off a shock result, Kenny Miller is more than capable of playing a role.
