Kilmarnock are plotting a summer swoop to bring Craig Bryson back to Rugby Park this summer, according to a report, as he enters the final few months of his Derby County contract.
According to the Daily Record, Steve Clarke’s side have “expressed an interest” in signing Bryson this summer when Aaron Tshibola and Youssouf Mulumbu return to their parent clubs at the end of their loan deals.
Bryson has made 27 appearances so far this season for Frank Lampard’s side as they look to get back into the Premier League.
The 32-year-old spent four years at Rugby Park between 2007 and 2011 before moving south to join the Rams.
Rangers were linked with Bryson in the past and Premier League strugglers Cardiff tried to sign him in the summer after a spell on loan with the Bluebirds.
Lampard’s arrival at Pride Park led to a change in fortunes for Bryson but it looks as though he’ll be looking for a new club in the summer.
The Daily Record’s report claims that he is willing to listen to what Killie have to say but he’s yet to be offered a formal deal.
Bryson made 135 appearances for Killie during his time at Rugby Park and could now add to that next season if he does link up with Clarke’s side.
