Hibernian stalwart Lewis Stevenson has seen plenty of players come and go during his time at Easter Road. However, he has recently admitted there is one player he is disappointed to see leave – Marvin Bartley.
Bartley recently signed a pre-contact agreement with Livingston, and Stevenson admitted that the midfielder will be a big miss in the dressing room.
“It’s going to be a strange dressing room without big Marv,” Stevenson said, as reported by the Evening News.
“A real shock”

“He’s been a big part of things for the past four years, a great servant to the club. It was a real shock to learn he was moving on to Livingston next season.”
Bartley only played 21 games for Hibs this season, so it is understandable why he has decided to move on. He has more chance of playing regularly at Livingston.

Helped team back to the Premiership
Bartley was a big player for the Easter Road side in the four years he was at the club, helping them back to the Premiership.

Times change though, and as more players have got chances in the side, Bartley’s game time has got limited. As he reaches the veteran stage of his career it is no surprise that he wants to play games on a regular basis.
Therefore, whilst his move may have come as a shock to Stevenson, it isn’t a shock overall. All at Hibs will wish Bartley well at his new club.
