Barnsley centre-back Liam Lindsay believes recent Hibernian arrival Adam Jackson will be a success at Easter Road.
Lindsay and Jackson played as defensive partners at times for the League One side, and Lindsay has no doubts that Jackson can achieve great things at Easter Road.
“He’s a really good defender. He can do a bit of everything” Lindsay said, as reported by the Evening News.
“Expect him to do well”
“He’s got a good bit of experience in the Championship, which is a very good level, so I’d expect him to do well in Scotland.”
Jackson worked with Hibs coach Paul Heckingbottom at Barnsley. As a result, Heckingbottom will know the qualities that the player can bring to Easter Road.
Jackson is so far the second player that will be joining Hibs next season, the first being Scott Allan.
May return to former clubs for signings
It will be interesting to see if Heckingbottom returns to any of his former clubs once more for signings when the transfer window begins in earnest.
As it is his first transfer window as Hibs coach, he will be eager to put his own spin on the side. That could mean reuniting with some players from his past.
Hibs have started their transfer business early, which will please the club’s support. That is a wise move as it allows the new arrivals to get used to their team-mates before the season starts.
Heckingbottom will be looking to get more signings in as quickly as possible. Jackson may well be amongst the first of a number of new players to arrive at Easter Road. The fans will certainly hope so.
