Paul Heckingbottom’s superb start to life as Hibernian head coach has continued. He has led the Easter Road side to their first away win over Hearts since 2013.
Heckingbottom’s side came from a goal behind to pull off a superb 2-1 win at Tynecastle. The hero of the victory was Daryl Horgan, whose two goals secured the win.
Heckingbottom’s side have been going from strength to strength since his appointment, and the win over Hearts takes the Easter Road side above their bitter rivals in the league table.
All at Easter Road will be massively encouraged by the progress Heckingbottom has made in his time at the club. He has yet to lose a league match as head coach, the only defeat coming from Celtic in the Scottish Cup.
It will be intriguing to see how Heckingbottom fares when he is able to bring in his own players to the club. So far he has been working with former manager Neil Lennon’s players.
Should be able to work similar magic with his own players, the future could be very bright at Easter Road.
That is for the future. For now though, Hibs fans can celebrate one of their best victories in many tears. And the man they will be celebrating is the architect of the victory, Paul Heckingbottom.
