Hearts have some promising news on the injury front ahead of the Scottish Cup Final against Celtic. Edinburgh Live has revealed that the trio of Peter Haring, Uche Ikpeazu and Arnaud Djoum all trained at Hearts’ St Andrews training camp.
Hearts boss Craig Levein will be very careful with the trio ahead of the final. But having the trio available would be a huge boost for the match against Celtic.
Trio’s availability will boost chances of winning cup
For Hearts to have a chance of winning the game, they will need all of their best players available. The trio of Haring, Ikpeazu and Djoum are certainly three of the best players at Tynecastle.
Ikpeazu will be vital to Hearts’ chances of finding the back of the net at Hampden, whilst Haring and Djoum will be key men in the middle of the park.
Closed doors friendly could be arranged
It will be interesting to see if Hearts consider perhaps a behind closed doors friendly in the run-up to the cup final.
It would not be ideal to put the three players into the side without having some kind of game beforehand.
However, Levein might feel that might not make any difference to the team he is going to select. As it is such a big game, he might feel that risking the players is a gamble worth taking.
We are unlikely to know until the day of the game, as Levein won’t be giving anything away about his team ahead of the game.
