Aberdeen are set to move for Livingston’s Scott Pittman, according to a report. The Daily Record has disclosed that Derek McInnes is set to make an offer for the player in the summer.
The report goes on to reveal that the Dons made an enquiry for the player in January, but no bid was made. Pittman has been one of the many successes at Livingston this season.

He has made 36 appearances, scoring five goals for Gary Holt’s side. The player’s contract expires in a year’s time, so Livingston will have a decision to make about Pittman’s future.

It will be interesting to see if Livingston offer Pittman a new contract, or if the player indicates that he would like to move to Pittodrie.

Aberdeen fans will be pleased to see that Derek McInnes is already making plans for next season. The Dons still have plenty to play for this season. They have a Scottish Cup semi-final with Aberdeen next month.
But it is always good for a team to be thinking ahead. McInnes certainly seems to be doing that with his move for Pittman.
Is the player good enough to take Aberdeen to the next level? It’s hard to say. But he looks like a more than useful addition to the Dons squad for next season.
