Cypriot side Appllon Limassol are interested in Hearts’ Arnaud Djoum, according to a report. The Scottish Sun are reporting that Limassol have spoken to the player’s representatives about making the move to Cyprus.
Djoum’s contract expires at the end of May, so he will be a free agent very soon. Hearts have not given up hope on keeping the player at Tynecastle though.
‘Final talks’ scheduled
The Evening News recently reported that the Tynecastle side plan to have ‘final talks’ with the midfielder about signing a new deal with the Jambos.
It would be a real blow for Craig Levein and Hearts if Djoum was to leave in the summer. He has been a key man for the Tynecastle side this season.
It is no wonder they are trying to keep him at the club, and are planning the ‘final talks’. Hearts would find it difficult fo replace him.
Played well in cup defeat
Djoum was unfortunate to be on the losing side in the recent 2-1 Scottish Cup Final loss to Celtic. He and his fellow midfielders kept Celtic quiet for much of the game.
He showed all his qualities in that game, and Hearts won’t want to lose those, especially for nothing.
We shall find out sooner or later if the talks with the player have been successful, or if his time at Tynecastle has come to an end.
