Kilmarnock could be set for full-back problems in the near future, with recent reports suggesting Stephen O’Donnell and Greg Taylor could be on the move shortly.
The Scottish Sun have reported that O’Donnell has knocked back a new contract from the club. O’Donnell’s out of contract next summer and seems set to play his final term at Rugby Park this season.

German side Nurnberg, according to The Scottish Daily Mail (06/08 print edition, page 78), will lodge fresh bids for left-back Taylor.
They claim Killie have already knocked back two £500,000 bids already from the Germans, but a third is expected before the end of the window.
O’Donnell and Taylor would be major losses
It seems as though Killie will lose O’Donnell at some stage within the next year. Their full-back holds all the cards in this situation with his contract expiring.

O’Donnell seemingly has his eyes on bigger things and you can’t begrudge him if that’s the case. He’s been brilliant for Killie and deserves a chance to move up the football ladder.
In the Taylor situation Kilmarnock have a bit more control. He’s under contract till 2021, so the Ayrshire club have a bit more room to make big demands for their left-back.
£500k is a modest fee for someone like Taylor. In today’s market he is worth much more. It should take a seven figure bid to make Killie even consider selling him.

If these two players go in the near future, then Killie have a big problem. They won’t be able to full replace either of them. For the money they’ll have to spend, Kilmarnock won’t be able to bring in players of a similar standard to O’Donnell and Taylor.
They’ll be hoping O’Donnell and Taylor are Kilmarnock players for the remainder of this season at least.
