Aberdeen centre-back Scott McKenna will be in-demand once more after his latest performance. The Dons defender turned in a defensive masterclass as Derek McInnes’ side pulled off a 2-0 victory over Rangers at Ibrox.
Rangers laid siege to the Aberdeen goal during the game, but were unable to make the breakthrough as McKenna and his fellow defenders stood tall.

There’s no doubt that McKenna’s admirers would have watched his latest performance with interest. McKenna was subject to interest from clubs in both the summer and January transfer windows. Celtic had a bid for the player turned down in August. Whilst Aston Villa had a bid turned down on the last day of the summer transfer window.

In the January transfer window, the Dons turned down another bid for the player, this time from Stoke City. It remains to be seen if any of the clubs come back in for the player in the summer.

There has to be doubts over Celtic and Aston Villa, as both teams have changed their manager since then.
It does seem that McKenna will leave Aberdeen sooner rather than later. A team will eventually meet the club’s valuation for the player.
Until then though, fans will enjoy McKenna’s performances for the Dons. If he keeps up his current form, he could lead the Dons to a Scottish Cup triumph.
