Aberdeen defender Tommie Hoban has revealed that he is keen on a return to Pittodrie. The player is out of action with a knee injury until October.

However, his future is currently in limbo as he is out of contract at Watford at the end of the season.

Hoban has admitted that he would like to return to Aberdeen if the opportunity arises.

“I would definitely consider”

“It is 100% something I would definitely consider if it was an option” he told the Evening Express.

“Aberdeen are a massive club. There is definitely a big appeal to going back to Aberdeen.”

Hoban has been unfortunate in his time at Pittodrie. Injuries have ruined any chance he has had to hold down a place in the first-team.

He has played only nine games for the Dons this season.

Hoban’s return would not be a surprise

However, with the Dons needing players in next season it would not be surprise to see Hoban return to Aberdeen.

Of course, a lot will depend on Hoban’s recovery process. It will take time for him to get back to full fitness.

If Hoban can prove his fitness though, he can be a useful addition to the Dons squad. Especially as he will be coming back to the club on a free transfer.
