With Aberdeen needing to strengthen ahead of their return to action, the Scot would be a great pick up.
McTominay was a favourite of Jose Mourinho but new United boss Ole Gunnar Solksjaer may let him to go out and play regularly over the rest of the campaign.
Dons boss Derek McInnes will be desperate to keep his side in a title race and adding McTominay should help them keep up the chase on the leaders.
Depending of what happens with Solksjaer, he could have a new boss to impress in the summer and coming off regular football will aid him.
The midfielder only managed to play a minute of the win over Spurs on Sunday.
A move could hinge of the future of Marouane Fellaini who may be sold before the end of January.
While Pittodrie is no Old Trafford, playing for a big Scottish club would be a good experience for McTominay.
