Aberdeen could be set for a huge windfall this summer if Premier League giants Arsenal complete their reported £30million swoop for the Scotland winger.
The Dons inserted a 20% sell-on clause in Fraser’s contract when they sold him to Bournemouth and an extra £6million in the kitty would make a massive difference to Derek McInnes’ transfer plans.

According to the Daily Mail, Bournemouth are holding out for £30million for Fraser so if they get their wish there will be a hefty cheque winging its way to Pittodrie.
McInnes has so far spoken about his need to look at free agents and loan players to improve his squad – and with work underway on a new training ground and stadium, funds will be needed elsewhere.

Dons chairman Stewart Milne has already claimed that money will be spent on strengthening the squad so McInnes could be handed sizeable amount for players.
With Dons skipper Graeme Shinnie leaving this summer and Gary Mackay-Steven mulling over an offer to join MLS side New York City FC, there’s a real need to bring in some quality this season at Pittodrie.

While McInnes is unlikely to get the majority of whatever money comes in from Fraser moving, what he does get will need to be spent wisely.
If McInnes gets that right then they should find themselves pushing for second place next season after this season’s drop down to fourth in the table.
