There are rumours circulating that Dundee are after former Celtic and Rangers men in Joe Ledley and Kyle Lafferty – but NTOF understands that such rumours are wide of the mark.
It’s our understanding that Dundee have completed their business for the January transfer window. Rumours have spread that former Celtic and Wales international Ledley and ex-Rangers frontman Lafferty are closing in on moves to Dundee. NTOF has been told, however, it would be a surprise to see any more deals done at Dens Park this window.
Prior to the match with Raith Rovers this Saturday, they completed the signing of former Hibs and Rangers striker Jason Cummings plus Tottenham Hotspur prospect Malachi Fagan-Walcott.
Paul McMullan has also arrived early from Dundee United, signing on loan at Dens Park after penning a pre-contract agreement with the Dee earlier in the window. McPake takes his side away to Kircaldy this weekend, looking to keep up with Hearts at the top of the Scottish Championship.
It’s a game the Dee boss is looking forward to, delighted to see Rover boss John McGlynn back in the dugout after undergoing surgery: “I’ve been impressed with John throughout the years, with the job he has done as a coach or a manager at other clubs as well.
“He came onto the pro licence as a speaker when myself and Dave (Mackay) were on that and really impressed us. I’m delighted to see he is back healthy and back in the dugout. That’s a massive plus for Raith Rovers and himself.
“The job he has done is great and to come up and do what he has done in this division having been in the league below. They will be there or there about come the end of the season, challenging for play off because they are a good side.”
