Aberdeen manager Stephen Glass will sit down and talk with keeper Joe Lewis after his blunder cost the Dons a share of the spoils yesterday and handed St Mirren a 3-2 win – extending the Pittodrie side’s winless run.

Lewis gifted St Mirren the winner with his error; rushing out to meet a ball chipped into the box by Marcus Fraser, completely missing it as he challenged former Dons striker Curtis Main, as the ball rolled into the back of the net.

Glass will look to see how the veteran responds in training after the mistake with the Dons welcoming Celtic to the Granite City next weekend in a huge Premiership tie.

“He (Lewis) knows himself it was a bit of a mistake,” Glass said

“That is maybe an understatement

“I will speak to him about it during the week, we will point it out, and we will look at what happens this week.”

Pressure mounting on Glass at Aberdeen

Aberdeen are without a win in their last eight games and the Dons can’t afford to wait too much longer for their first win since beating Breiðablik at the start of August.

The Dons boss needs to turn things around quickly otherwise he could see the Red and White Army turn against him, months after taking the reins from Derek McInnes.
