Kilmarnock Head of Football Operation James Fowler is hoping signings like Arsenal youngster Zech Medley can help add to the current squad at Rugby Park.
Fowler is currently on first-team duties due to departure of Alex Dyer as Killie boss last weekend, leaving the club scrambling on Deadline Day without a manager. One of the men they brought in was Arsenal starlet Medley on loan until the end of the season.

The centre-back spent the first half of this season on loan at Gillingham in League One and has also made a handful of appearances for the senior Arsenal side. Fowler believes he’ll be a decent addition as Killie fight at the bottom, currently 10th in the Premiership.
He said: “Zech’s a centre-back, he’s good. He’s got athleticism, he’s good on the ball, he’s had a loan spell already this year. So he’ll add to the group and help between now and the end of the season
“It wasn’t ideal losing a manager before Deadline Day but we had identified targets and positions that we felt we needed. It’s probably one bonus of my role that we were still able to progress with that to make sure we have a competitive squad of players.

“We have a few out just now who have been key players for us over a number of years. But that just gives someone else the opportunity to come in and step up.”
