Aston Villa and Scotland star John McGinn is known to be a bubbly character – and seemingly this has helped him get the better of Burnley boss Sean Dyche.

Steve Clarke’s battler has been an ever-present for Dean Smith’s Aston Villa side this term as they push for European places in the Premier League. They faced Burnley a couple of weekend’s ago on January 27th, winning 3-2.

While a good win for Villa, it’s an odd game to be brought back into the media spotlight. But an alleged conversation between McGinn and Dyche has put it firmly back on the map in hilarious fashion as the pair are thought to have had stern words after a couple of heavy challenges.

It’s claimed that Dyche took exception to a tough tackle by McGinn and started complaining about it on the touchline directly. The midfielder wasn’t having it and told the Burnley boss to ‘shut up’ almost instantly after his challenge.

Dyche responded with: “So you’ve been the Premier League one season for one season and you think you’re proper big time now telling me to shut up?” But McGinn had an even better response waiting in the wings.

“You’ve been in the league six seasons and you are still wearing the same s*** coat you big p****.” McGinn managed to do his talking on the park that afternoon too as he well and truly had the last laugh. Dyche was not able to respond to the Scotland star’s comeback.
