Reece Cole says Partick Thistle need to get Saturday out of their system after the Brentford loanee endured perhaps the toughest afternoon of his Jags spell so far against Dunfermline.
Ian McCall’s men lost 5-1 at East End Park, with four first half goals leaving Thistle with a mountain to climb in the second half.
Cole netted a consolation, but it did little to quell the disappointment he and his teammates felt after the game.
The midfielder says that the dressing room was ‘down’ after the game, but they must move on quickly from it.
“We’re really disappointed with how the game has gone,” Cole said. “Everyone is down in the dressing room as we’ve let the fans down who travelled in their numbers.
“We go again next Saturday. We know we need points. We’ve got to look forwards, not back the way, as we need to start putting three points on the board.
“The goal doesn’t mean anything when your 5-0 down. It’s nice and it’s another career goal for me but maybe it’s just come in the wrong game.”
