Brian Rice was happy with how his Hamilton side picked up from where they left off before the winter shutdown against Edinburgh City.
Prior to the break, Rice’s men picked up a hugely impressive 2-1 win away to rivals Motherwell. Their winning ways continued in the Scottish Cup with a convincing 5-0 win over Edinburgh City.

Goals from new signing Andy Dales, Scott McMann, Scott Martin, 17-year-old debutant Andy Winter and Mickel Miller sealed a convincing Accies win.
They go into the hat for today’s fifth round draw. Rice was pleased with the way his side went about dispatching of their League Two opposition.
“I think it was a bit of a continuation from the Motherwell performance, especially in the first half when we were on the front foot,” said Rice. “We put the game to bed in the first half.

“It’s three games out of four we’ve won. We beat Hearts and we lost to St Johnstone before that (the Motherwell win). People kept hitting me with stats when we weren’t winning, so it works both ways.
“Any win gives you confidence, doesn’t matter who or where you’re playing. We’ve put that to bed now.
“We now start to improve our league position and we know it’s difficult going to Easter Road. But we’ve won today and we won our last game so we go there with a bit of confidence.”
