Hamilton boss Brian Rice has dismissed the pressure Rangers are under- as it’s Accies who are under real scrutiny.
Rice’s men travel to Rangers tomorrow in what will be an extremely challenging test for his side. The South Lanarkshire club are four points off safety and tomorrow night’s game provides difficulty in terms of gaining valuable points in the relegation scrap.
Rangers are coming under intense scrutiny after watching their league title charge and Scottish Cup campaign falter. They were knocked out the latter at the weekend by the Premiership’s bottom club, Hearts, which is the second time the Gers have lost to them this year.
But Rice has refuted the fact Rangers are under pressure: “It’s a big test every game in this league for us. But we are going to Ibrox, it was only five days ago we were raving about the Rangers performance against Braga.
“Rangers are a fantastic team. It must be great to be under pressure when you’re second in the league and in the last 16 in the Europa League, it must be great pressure to be under.
“Pressure is where we are, that’s pressure. We’ve had a bit of time to get the injured boys back on the pitch. It’s a busy couple of days for us, we go to Ibrox then we’ve got Kilmarnock at home on Saturday.
“Some boys will need to play through the pain barrier. We did need a break from games and there was a spell where we played a lot of games in a short space of time. It was a welcome break on Saturday.”
