Crystal Palace loanee Scott Banks has been catching the eye of Dunfermline boss Stevie Crawford – and his weekend display showed only a glimpse of his potential.
The attack-minded midfielder arrived at East End Park on loan from Crystal Palace in the winter transfer window and was influential in the 1-0 Scottish Championship win over Morton, playing 89 minutes of the match and winning a penalty

Crawford has been impressed with what he’s witnessed so far: “I think since Scott has come up from Crystal Palace that he has fitted in well with the group. But like anything, he needs minutes at first-team level to get match sharpness.
“There’s been flashes in some of the games he has played but I think everybody seen what he is capable of going forward at the weekend. He was a goal-threat, he looked like he had an assist in him and he won a penalty.
“You look at some of the defensive work Scott was doing, he worked his socks off going back to help Aaron Comrie on the right-hand-side and he played his part in that side of the game as well.
“I am sure Scott will benefit from playing just about the 90 minutes on Saturday and he will be stronger for it.”
