Jordan Marshall is happy with Dundee’s January business – and he says a particular addition from Tottenham Hotspur is learning from a former Liverpool man.
The Dens Park club signed Paul McMullan on loan from Dundee United, Jason Cummings on a permanent deal after a spell at Shrewsbury Town and Malachi Fagan-Walcott on a loan basis from Tottenham Hotspur. It’s more top-level experience in James McPake’s squad, the likes of former Liverpool midfielder Charlie Adam involved in a major way too.
Marshall has featured 18 times this term and has been impressed in particular by Fagan-Walcott since arriving from Spurs in the January window. While hoping he stays out of his position, Marshall is hoping he can use this spell to learn from the likes of Adam.
He said : “The squad has massive potential with a mix of youth and experience. The signings in January were all very good ones, Malachi from Tottenham looks a top player. Jason is a proven goalscorer at this level.
“You could say he’s coming here with experience. He’s only 18 and he’s played in the Champions League which is crazy to be fair. But he is here to play games and learn from experienced lads like Charlie Adam.
“He’ll want to play a load of games as there is nothing like playing senior football. I think he’s a right-footer so I hope he can stay away from my left-hand side!”
Dundee are again without a game this weekend after their away trip to Dunfermline was postponed due to heavy snow in the Fife area.
