A massive game against Rangers looms on the horizon – but Falkirk co-boss David McCracken has shelved that for the time being.
Falkirk have the chance to climb to the top of League One this evening away to Dumbarton. They beat leaders Cove Rangers 1-0 on Saturday, a win at the Sons enough to move above Paul Hartley’s side.

McCracken has reflected on the match with Cove Rangers ahead of the Dumbarton trip, reckoning his team could have scored more as he aims for their league position.
“I thought their goalkeeper could have been Man of the Match because we created a lot of chances,” said McCracken. “We were really pleased. Fair play to Cove, they have won their games.
“But we knew we had to nullify some of their threats and we did that. But if it wasn’t for their keeper then we probably would have scored more.

“That’s the incentive (the chance to go top). As a player, that’s what you want. We’ve spoke about where we want to be and where we want to play at. But we take it a game at a time.”
After Dumbarton comes Rangers in the League Cup, a huge game for Falkirk against the runaway Premiership leaders. It’ll be an exciting but challenging test for the Bairns.
For now though, McCracken isn’t thinking about it: “It doesn’t matter what game we are playing or the ones we have coming up, we focus on the next match.
“There’s not point looking too far ahead because it could come back to bite you. We say that to the boys so we are full focused on Tuesday night.”
