Gary Holt says there’s ‘plenty more to come’ from Jay Emmanuel-Thomas after the striker’s first appearance in Livingston colours.
The former Arsenal forward played the full 90 minutes during his first game in well over a year, assisting too, as Livi beat Alloa 2-1.

The Wasps were in good form but second-half strikes from Alan Forrest, which JET assisted with, and Josh Mullin wrapped up three League Cup points for Holt’s side.
He may not have gotten on the scoresheet, having a goal ruled out for offside, but Holt reckons this is just beginning for the Arsenal academy product as he praised his side’s comeback abilities.
“There is plenty more to come from him,” said Holt. “But there were already a lot of positive things. His link-up play was good, his shot which leads to Alan Forrest’s goal was good and he was in the right areas.

“Jay also gives us that out-ball if we are under pressure. The wide players and wee Pitts (Scott Pittman) will know that nine times out of 10 the ball will stick and they can gamble.
“But he isn’t just there as a focal point, we want him to score goals and we’ll work on a few things. It’s his first game for us. If he gets up to speed I think the wide players will enjoy it.
“I said to them at half-time that the tempo needed to be quicker. We needed to move the ball quicker and get people running beyond. When we did, we scored two very good goals and we could have had more.
“On the balance of play and chances, I think we deserved to win the game and it’s another good three points.”
