Hamilton Academy director George Cairns has said that David Moyo is close to firing on all cylinders for the Accies first-team after another impressive Reserves display.
He scored two as the Hamilton Reserves beat Hearts 3-2. Two goals from Moyo and a lovely Adrian Beck finish sealed the win for Cairns’ side.
Moyo has featured seven times for the senior side this campaign but is yet to start or score for Accies.
His latest brace followed on from a double against the St Mirren Reserves a week previous. Cairns believes he is beginning to show the qualities that can benefit Brian Rice’s senior side.
“He was fantastic, he did really well last week scoring a couple of goals too,” Cairns said. “His header from the corner was great, so it was another good performance.
“Sometimes it takes a bit of time for a player to adjust. He’s coming up here from England, it’s a new club, a strange environment, a new area and it’s full-time football.
“But I think he’s done remarkably well. He works really hard in training and hopefully he can kick on and have a good career.”
