Hamilton Accies manager Brian Rice is refusing to get himself drawn into trouble over a red card given to Jamie Hamilton during a 2-0 defeat to Hibs.
Martin Boyle and Josh Doig goals settled a win for the Easter Road side but a game-changing moment provided controversy. Teenage defender Hamilton was sent off for a challenge on Boyle, Hibs immediately going on to score from the resulting free-kick.

Rice spoke with the Hibs winger as the players headed for the dressing rooms at half-time but won’t get involved in a red card debate: “Martin said he caught me but it wasn’t a bad tackle. That’s all he said, I never asked him about anything else expect did he catch you?
“He said that he did but it wasn’t a bad tackle. I think there was a bit of contact but he touched the ball as well. It’s very difficult for the referee but they’re well paid for it. My thoughts on it are no comment.
“I’m not going to talk about it because the referee has made his decision with the help of his assistant. The boys gutted because he’s been sent off again. It was a massive turning point in the game because we started really well. Scott McMann had a shot and we’ve hit the post.

“All I know is that someone on the side line told the referee it was a red card. I’m not getting myself into trouble or being pulled up in front of the SFA for something things that I shouldn’t.
“I’ve got my own thoughts on it and you have all seen it, write about what you see. I don’t know {if I’ll appeal it}. I won’t lie, I’ve seen it again and I’ve got my own thoughts on it but I’m not going to share them because I’ll get into trouble.”
