Hibs head coach Jack Ross is hopeful of introducing Josh Doig, Christian Doidge and Darren McGregor to his squad against Raith Rovers tonight after several absentees versus Arsenal.

The Easter Road club secured an impressive 2-1 win over the English Premier League club earlier this week. Doig – a reported transfer target for Arsenal – wasn’t able to feature as he continues to recover from a positive Covid-19 diagnosis. Doidge has missed most of pre-season but will aim for some minutes in Iain Davidson’s testimonial this evening.

McGregor was rested against Arsenal as a precaution, but ahead of their UEFA Europa Conference League debut against FC Santa Coloma next week, Ross is still missing Jake Doyle-Hayes, Jamie Murphy and Chris Cadden against Raith:  “Josh Doig will hopefully be back in the squad. Christian Doidge will also hopefully be back in the squad.

“It might just be a bit of the game. It’s probably a little bit too soon for Christian to start the game. Darren McGregor will be back. We rested him as a precaution. Everyone else will still be absent so we’re a little light.”
