Jack Ross has had his teenage star linked with the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea in recent times – and the Hibs boss knows big clubs will circle for Josh Doig.

The teenager was immense again on Saturday and scored his first senior goal too during the 2-0 win over Hamilton Accies. Aged 19, he has burst onto the scene at Easter Road this term, earning links to top clubs such as Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City and many more.

Doig has made 24 appearances for Hibs in their push for third spot this season and Ross is braced for plenty of interest in the left-back: “His progress this season has been brilliant and I think he’s slightly under the radar.

“There’s probably been less hype than I expected for an 18-year-old playing regularly for a team challenging at the top end of the table. His development this season has been really encouraging for us, even his goal today, it’s something to be proud of.

“I think he will be on the radar of a lot of clubs just because of his athletic ability, his stature, the role he plays, all the different attributes he has.

“He’s played in a few different positions for us this season as well and I think he’s still got improvement in him.”
