James McPake was impressed with the performances of his Dundee strikers in the 2-2 draw with Morton yesterday.
Jason Cummings and Danny Mullen both impressed, as both players found the back of the net. The pair seemed to work well together too, as Mullen set up Cummings’ goal not long after coming on as a second-half substitute.
The Dens Park boss was pleased with the effort put in by the forward duo.
“Jason gets another great goal, and I think you can see Jason’s getting sharper. Danny Mullen looked like the Danny Mullen that we brought to the club” he said.
Cummings has now scored two goals in three games for Dundee since joining the club in the January transfer window. Mullen has three goals and three assists for the Dens Park side this season.
Dundee now face a busy schedule over the next month. They face a run of six games in 17 days as they bid to make up games that have been postponed.
Manager is looking forward to busy schedule
It will certainly be a challenge for McPake and his squad. However, it is one that he is looking forward to.
“We’ve got a hectic schedule which I’m delighted with. That’s the football I like. When I was in England, I loved that, Saturday-Tuesday, Saturday-Tuesday. That’s the way it is, you don’t get much time to work on them on the training field. But we’ve done a lot of work” McPake stated.
Dundee’s run of games being when they take on their former manager Neil McCann, who is currently in charge of Inverness, at Dens Park on Tuesday night.
