Lee Miller has been left made up with his Falkirk players after a resounding 6-0 win over Forfar Athletic.
There was only one goal to be had in the first half and it came on the stroke of half time. A George Stanger own goal handed Falkirk the lead.
In the second half, however, it started raining goals in the final 20 minutes. Five were had in total and three of them were scored in the final five minutes as Ben Hall and Aidan Connolly doubles partnered with a Paul Dixon effort secured a big win.
Whilst he wasn’t expecting six at half time, Miller was certainly pleased by the nature of Falkirk’s big win that takes them to within a point of the League One summit.
“I didn’t see that coming,” said Miller. “On the flip-side though, we are capable of that. The first half was scrappy, credit to Forfar, they broke up play well.
“In terms of getting goals at the right time, that was a key factor. Throughout the game we looked more dangerous as the game wore on. Guys like Rafa De Vita and Josh Todd grew into the game.
“I’m delighted with how things ended up, a real positive performance as they never rested on their laurels. We went to seek out more goals which is great.
“I’m delighted with the way everybody performed. When you get the chances, go and take it.”
