Morton’s Kalvin Orsi was the two-goal hero in the recent 2-0 win over Queen of the South. A win that took the Greenock side up to third place in the Championship table.
However, rather than take all the glory for himself, Orsi was keen to point out the contribution that Rangers loanee Josh McPake made to the victory.
Orsi was impressed with how well the 19-year-old winger performed for Anton McElhone’s side. He played a part in the first goal, and Orsi lauded the attributes that the player has.
“He creates a lot”
“He’s a strong boy, a powerful boy, he opens up a lot of space in there. He creates a lot of chances in there just through his power.”

It will be interesting to see what happens to McPake in the January transfer window. He is only on loan with Morton until January. But, Morton have an option to extend the deal. You imagine that they will be keen to take that up.
As for Orsi, he was pleased to score his first goals of the season in the win over Queen of the South, especially after his effort in the recent win over Dunfermline was adjudged to not have crossed the line.
“I felt I was robbed”
“I felt I was robbed a wee bit last week. But, I made up for it with two goals. It was deserved, it was a good performance from everybody.”

Morton are next in action on Boxing Day against Inverness. They will be looking to make it three wins in a row and keep the pressure up on second placed Dunfermline.
