Hearts’ Stephen Kingsley has admitted that he feels that the Tynecastle club’s results haven’t been good enough recently. But he is determined to help the club put a stop to that against Inverness tonight.

Hearts have drawn their last two league games, 1-1 draws against Morton and Queen of the South. In the two games prior to that, the team managed to battle their way to one goal wins over Dunfermline and Ayr.

Kingsley accepts that the team needs to improve, and he has disclosed that the squad have been working hard in training to get back to their best.

“Haven’t been good enough”

“The results haven’t been good enough for the last couple of weeks. We know we need to be doing better than that” he said.

“Saturday was especially frustrating because, in the first half, I thought we played very well. It was just that last five per cent and finishing these chances that we needed to take advantage of.

“Working very hard”

“That was frustrating but we created the chances. We’re working very hard to try to take some of those opportunities and, looking forward, hopefully that can put us on another run again” Kingsley went on.

Hearts have found scoring goals difficult recently. They have scored four goals in their last four games. Kingsley thinks that isn’t down to a lack of effort from the players.

“Everyone’s been at it. The results haven’t been good enough for the last couple of weeks, but it’s not through a lack of trying. We’ve been training well, it’s just about trying to get back on that winning run again” he concluded.
