It’s two goals in two games for left-back Aaron Taylor-Sinclair- but he’s just happy that Livingston have continued their excellent home form.
The Lions roared to victory over Motherwell at the weekend, winning as one-sided a 1-0 as you’re likely to see all season. Mark Gillespie was on fire for Motherwell and he was the reason scoring was kept to a minimum. It was Livingston’s sixth-straight home win.
Taylor-Sinclair broke his resistance though and claimed all three points for Livi. It moves them four points off Aberdeen in third and seven off the Well in third ahead of a trip to Ross County on Wednesday.
Livi’s left-back was delighted to continue his scoring streak after netting against Hamilton the previous week, singing the praises of his side after beating his former employers.
“I was at Crewe last season and similar happened,” said Taylor-Sinclair. “I scored one week and scored the next. I had a feeling I’d score today. I’m a machine from two yards! It’s always good to score goals and contribute to the team.
“It’s not so much because it’s against Motherwell, it’s just good to get the win. Peter Hartley’s effort looked like it was going in so when it hit the post I was thankful that it didn’t go in.
“We’ve been mixing and matching the back four so it shows what a good squad we’ve got. I don’t think teams like coming here. It scares teams a bit. I just need to show what I can do and thankfully the manager has given me that here.
“Once the ball is the final third we’ve proved we can play a bit. Long may that continue.”
