Hearts and Hibs will both hope to bring festive cheer to their fans when they face off on Boxing Day.
Neither set of supporters has had much to shout about so far this season and for a while the Edinburgh pair will trading places at the bottom of the Premiership.
Now, both have put a tiny bit of daylight between themselves at the foot of the table with recent wins, with Hibs sitting eighth and the Jambos in tenth.
That can all change very quickly though and a derby defeat can plummet the whole mood around the place on top of affecting league placing for whoever loses.
The first capital clash of the season ended with a 1-1 draw with teenager James Wilson rescuing a late draw for Hearts.
Hibees boss David Gray is plotting revenge for that as he felt his side should have won, which still rankles.
While his opposite number Neil Critchley is asking for Hearts fans to get right behind the team after the Gorgie Ultras boycotted the win over St Johnstone.
