Hibs were humbled by Motherwell at Fir Park, with the Steelmen easing past the Leith side 3-0.
A first half strike from Sherwin Seedorf put Motherwell in control, before Liam Donnelly and Jermain Hylton finished the job in the second half.

Whilst Hibs were ok going forward, defensively they were all over the place. If Motherwell had been a bit more clinical, this game could’ve finished five or six in the Steelmen’s favour.
Needless to say, some Hibs fans were not impressed by their side’s poor performance, aiming their fury at one man in particular.

Motherwell display puts Hibs boss Heckingbottom under intense pressure
At the end of the game, Hibs fans were chanting for boss Paul Heckingbottom to ‘get to f**k’. After another poor display, it wasn’t hard to see why.

Hibs weren’t actually too bad going forward. Daryl Horgan was testing Jake Carroll and Florian Kamberi threw his weight around. At the back though it was all far too easy.
Seedorf walked past Steven Whittaker like he wasn’t even at Fir Park for the first goal. The second was a handball Michael Jordan would be proud of and the third compiled the misery.
Heckingbottom is under intense pressure now. A pretty disastrous run of four games has culminated in them conceding 14 goals in that spell, with one extra time cup win over Morton to show for it.

Motherwell are an inconsistent side. If Hibs played to their ability, there is a good chance they might have had too much for their Fir Park foes. Instead, the pressure is well and truly on Heckingbottom now.
His next game against Kilmarnock is a must win. Failure to win that and he goes into the derby needing a win to save any support he has within Easter Road.
That support from the fans is getting thinner and thinner. Results have to turn for the better soon at Hibs or Heckingbottom won’t be in a job come Christmas.
