Hearts have had a number of proverbial ‘six-pointers’ in recent weeks.
When they faced Kilmarnock, it was a case of the Premiership’s bottom two at that stage going up against each other and it was the same for the meeting with St Johnstone last weekend.
Midweek they faced Hibs in an Edinburgh derby with both sides still struggling in the bottom six. And today, the Jambos are up against fellow relegation candidates Ross County.
Neil Critchley’s side only managed one win from those games we mentioned and there was also the massive disappointment of drawing with Moldovan minnows Petrocub to crash out of the Conference League.
There is doom and gloom around Tynecastle currently and they could really do with a result in Dingwall to avoid dropping to 12th again.
In the opposing dug out will be former Jam Tarts and Scotland midfielder Don Cowie who masterminded a brilliant 3-0 win at Dundee through the week.
Previously, their away form had been poor with their results at home much better and they will look to make sure the latter continues to be the case.
The teams are now in for the Highlands clash.
