St Mirren and Hearts will fight it out tonight as they attempt to become the final Scottish Cup quarter finalists.
After Queen’s Park stunned Rangers at Ibrox yesterday, there remains just one place in the last eight and the Buddies host the Jambos at the SMISA Stadium this evening.
Saints will be missing Alex Iacovitti and Conor McMenamin while manager Stephen Robinson is wary of the threat posed by a resurgent Hearts side.
Speaking at his press conference previewing the match, he said: “All you ask for in a cup game is to get a home tie. We’ve actually been better on the road this season, but we’ve got a home tie.
“It’ll be a full house. It’s something we want to embrace. We know that Hearts have spent a lot of money to put a really, really good squad together.
”They’ve got a very good manager in Neil Critchley and he’s starting to put his stamp on Hearts now.”
Hearts could have Calem Nieuwenhof in their ranks after just under a year out injured, having initially expected to be missing for 12 weeks.
While Sander Kartum is hoping for a Jambos debut after signing from SK Brann in January.
They’ve now learned their fate with the teams confirmed.
