Aberdeen manager Stephen Glass has admitted he hasn’t sought an explanation over the penalty given against his team in the 2-2 draw with Rangers at Ibrox in midweek – saying it would be a “pointless exercise”.
The Dons boss was furious after John Beaton pointed to the spot after Fashion Sakala went down under pressure from David Bates, insisting he is only focused on three points against Hearts this weekend.

“I don’t waste my time doing that,” Glass said when asked if he’d tried to get answers.
“It’s a pointless exercise, there’s no point in me trying to phone and find decisions. Even if you get an acceptance that a decision is wrong, it costs you a couple of points.
“The only thing I can focus on now is helping our team get three points on Saturday, that’s where my energy is.
“It can look like sour grapes at times when you start complaining about stuff, so it’s not something that I want to do.
“You get asked after the game, so of course I’m going to answer it. At the time it’s important as a staff that we control ourselves as well, which is difficult at times but it’s what you have to do.
“The referee’s got the chance to watch it once live as well, so it can be difficult for him I’m sure but we would just hope that the decisions are made correct more often.”
After ending Aberdeen’s ten-game winless run, the Dons will be hoping to make it three without defeat when they face Hearts at Pittodrie tomorrow afternoon.
With Hearts still unbeaten in the league this season, a win for Glass’ side would be a nice boost after missing out on three points at Ibrox in midweek.
