Lawrence Shankland made an impressive debut for Dundee United.
The striker opened the scoring for the Tannadice side in their 1-1 Betfred Cup draw against Hearts. United might have gone on to lose the game on penalties. But Shankland showed in only one game that he will be a force to be reckoned with this season.

Striker will be involved
It is a game they have to win to keep up the pressure on Hearts in the group stages of the cup. Therefore, you would imagine that Shankland will start the game.

The match against Stenhousemuir seems to be a great chance for Shankland to add to his goal tally for United. The Tannadice side will be taking on a team in the division below them. It is an important game for Stenhousemuir as well as for Dundee United.

It is their first competitive game of the season. They will be looking to cause an upset, and defeat Robbie Neilson’s side.
However, should United play to the best of their abilities, then there should be only one winner. If United win, will Shankland be the man to find the back of the net? You would imagine that there is a good chance of that happening.
