Dundee United host Celtic in the first of two Scottish Premiership clashes this afternoon – and both sides have confirmed their starting XI ahead of the noon kickoff at Tannadice.

Thomas Courts’ side lost 1-0 to Motherwell in midweek and will be hoping to bounce back against Celtic as the Parkhead side aim to close the seven-point gap at the top of the table.

With Dundee United picking up one win in their last six league fixtures, they’ll face a tough task this afternoon against – with Ange Postecoglou’s side having won seven of their last eight in the Premiership.

If they can pick up a win though, the Terrors would climb into third in the Premiership table, although with Hearts facing Livingston at 3pm it could be short-lived.

Part of Tannadice remains closed after damage sustained during Storm Arwen, with the Jerry Kerr Stand out of use until repairs on the roof can be completed, forcing two thousand Celtic fans to miss the game as a result.

The last time they met in the league, the points were shared following a 1-1 draw at Celtic Park in September, with Ian Harkes netting to cancel out the Liel Abada’s opener for Celtic.

Courts has made three changes from the 1-0 defeat at Fir Park on Tuesday night as Adrian Sporle, Nicky Clark and Jeando Fuchs return to the side with Scott McMann, Florent Hoti and Declan Glass making way.

There are also three changes for Celtic from their midweek clash with Hearts as Anthony Ralston, Stephen Welsh and Jota are replaced by Greg Taylor, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Mikey Johnston in the starting XI.

Here are how Dundee United and Celtic line up at Tannadice this afternoon:
