St Mirren host Rangers this afternoon at the SMISA Stadium in the final Premiership game of the weekend – and the starting XIs are in ahead of the noon kickoff.

The Buddies have won their last three league games and are looking to make it four top-flight wins in a row for the first time since 2008 while Rangers are aiming to retake top spot from Hearts following their draw yesterday with Dundee.

The hosts are unchanged from last weekend’s win over Ross County as Goodwin keeps his faith in the side that have performed so well and helped the Saints record three wins in a row.

St Mirren Jim Goodwin spoke during the week and admits the champions will be a huge challenge for his side but he has belief the Buddies can get something out of the game and extend their unbeaten run, saying: “We know that Rangers is going to be a really tough challenge. But we’ve got great confidence and belief that if we can get everything right then we can cause Rangers some problems.”

After beating Brondby at Ibrox on Thursday night, Rangers manager Allan McGregor has made one change, bringing Scotland keeper Jon McLaughlin in to the starting XI in place if veteran Allan McGregor – with McGregor dropping out of the squad completely.

St Mirren: Alnwick, Fraser, McCarthy, Shaughnessy, Millar, Power, Erahon, Tanser, Ronan, McGrath, Brophy

Rangers: McLaughlin, Tavernier, Goldson, Balogun, Barisic, Lundstram, Davis, Aribo, Hagi, Roofe, Morelos
