Dundee United striker Marc McNulty is looking forward to this afternoon’s Dundee derby at Tannadice as the former Reading striker warned the Dark Blues “those are the kind of [he] normally turns up in.”

The Arabs are looking to extend a 14-year unbeaten record at home against their closest rivals and Sparky is excited at the prospect of playing in front of a full house at Tannadice.

The striker will come up against some familiar faces in the Dundee  derby in Dens Park duo Leigh Griffiths and Jason Cummings, with McNulty excited to face off against them for the first time in his career as he looks to walk away with the bragging rights over the pair.

“I know Leigh and Jason really well. They are both funny characters,” McNulty said.

“It will be good to play against them. I am not sure if I have played against them before, it will be interesting.

“They are both really good players, and I am sure they will offer a lot to Dundee.

“As a player, you get excited for certain games and this is one of them as it’s going to be a sell-out with a great atmosphere.

“It will be the first time I have played in a full stadium for a long time. I can’t remember the last time I played before a sell-out crowd.

“I am still getting up to speed. But I have had a good couple of games now and am getting there.

”This weekend is the game you look forward to as a player.

“I am lucky in that I have played in quite a few big games where there is a lot of pressure on you.

“Those are the kind of games I normally turn up in.”
