The battle for the final top six place in the Scottish Premiership will become much clearer after Hibernian play Motherwell at Easter Road on Saturday.
Currently Hibernian are in sixth place, two points ahead of the Steelmen. A win for Hibs would give them a five point lead with only nine points available before the split. That would all but seal a top six finish, and guarantee games against the likes of Hearts and the Old Firm after the split.

However, a win for Motherwell would put them in pole position to grab the top six finish. It promised to be a close game at Easter Road.

Both sides come into the match on the back of decent results. Hibs fighting back to draw 1-1 with Rangers, whilst Motherwell eased to a 3-0 win over Hamilton.
The game could come down to individual players, and one who is more than capable of making an impact is Motherwell’s David Turnbull, who scored twice in the win over Hamilton.

Meanwhile, Hibs will be looking to recent Scotland call-up Marc McNulty for inspiration.
With what the game has riding on it, this is probably the match of the weekend in Scotland. Both sides will be out all for the victory that will have a huge impact on the rest of their season.
