Tenth-placed Ross County are looking to snag back-to-back league wins for the first time this season when they face Livingston tonight – with both sides having confirmed their starting XI ahead of kick off.
Ross County boss Makly Mackay is without David Cancola and Jack Burroughs but has an otherwise strong group to choose from, and the Staggies boss is expecting a tough test against Livi tonight.
“I’m expecting nothing other than we’ve had in the last three games against Livingston,” Mackay said.
“They are a team who work ever so hard. David Martindale has got his team working well. I know it’s going to be a tough game.
“They’re on a good run and they’re a team we know well. We came up against them recently in the Scottish Cup down there and our side with different in terms of the injuries we had that week.
“Livingston work hard and are dangerous, so we know what to expect. We’re really looking forward to Wednesday night.”
After beating Dundee at the weekend, the Staggies want to build some momentum and get away from the relegation places, but David Martindale’s Livi will be looking to build on their own impressive result at the weekend.
The West Lothian side beat Aberdeen 3-1 and with so few points separating the teams in mid-table, Livi will be hoping to climb up the table.
Livi have taken four points from six against Ross County so far this season and a win tonight would put them right in the mix with the likes of Motherwell, Hibs and Aberdeen for fourth place.
